Fury calls out Joshua

One of the few things we disagree on mate!

Fury’s an incredible boxer and athlete, an absolute inspiration in terms of mental health awareness with lads, and just a bit of a legend all round. I love him.

I think he's a great fighter, agreed. To go and beat Klitschko in his back yard and then the 3 Wilder fights. All brilliant spectacles. However, you look outside of him fighting those 2 and his list dramatically dilutes into average fighters. Still, I think he's got to be considered the best around at present for sure.

It's him I don't like.. contradicts himself (retired, not retired, don't need the money, I want £500,000,000, etc etc), talks utter nonsense in the media for attention, disgraced as a champion for drugs. He's a clown.

I'd love to see the fight.

The same could be said of AJ too.
Not true, AJ has combinations he also has a very strong jab with a good snap to it, a decent hook and probably the best uppercut in the heavyweight division. Wilder has a wild overhand literally nothing else.

They are both poor with their feet but AJ has ok head movement Wilder has none.

I don't see how anyone could predict Joshua v Wilder with any great confidence.

Joshua does all the basics better so he'd be an obvious favourite but his chin is worse and Wilder certainly has enough power to put him away.

One thing to look out for would be Fury's usual tactics of leaning to tire his opponents.. it really caused problems for Wilder, but Joshua has the nastiest uppercut in the heavyweight game. Fury's big frame leaning (if he goes with that tactic) could leave that chin wide open for AJ.

And you'd be very happy for the '**** pikey' to lose? (Your quote, not mine)

How is his chin worse?

Fury is not known for heavy hitting yet annihilated Wilder he looked like he’d been beaten with a hammer.

Wilder almost got knocked out by Ortiz who just lost to Ruiz.

Wilder having no movement is one of the funniest things I’ve read on here 😂
Why is it funny he has zero movement. Unless you mean his come forward swinging style as he certainly has no lateral or head movement

Its impossible to quantify unless they'd both fought the same people but I always feel like Wilder has the slightly better chin out of the two. They've both looked wobbled and hurt multiple times so I can see your argument the other way but I just think Wilder is more likely to take AJ out than vice versa, obviously part of that is down to Wilder having more power but I think Wilder has the better chin as well.

I’m not saying AJs is better just that from what I’ve seen it’s certainly not any worse. I think an uppercut from AJ will do as much damage as Wilders overhand would especially given the fact Wilder has no leg strength and poor balance, I personally think AJs superior boxing ability and the fact he can throw combinations means he would come out on top. Fury has showed the world how to beat wilder go at him he can’t fight going backwards he needs to plant his feet to throw a big punch and without it he has nothing.

I did say I gave Joshua the advantage, I think he does the basics far better than Wilder (like you say). I don't think Joshua's movement with feints and footwork are as good as Fury's though so I think he would find it harder than Fury to back Wilder up.

It would also depend on what type of Fight Joshua wants, would he want to jab and move or fight more on the front foot.

I'd make AJ the 60/40 favourite, its only that close because of Wilder's power otherwise Joshua would be a strong favourite. But Wilder throws that right hand so quickly and with so much power I could see him taking AJ out as well.

I think Fury is intelligent enough not to do that if its gonna put him at risk. Leaning on Wilder was a pretty obvious tactic for a particular opponent.
