Rumpole'sWhat was the name of the pub actually inside the Cleveland Centre, Town Hall side?
They used to put the shutters down so you couldn't wander about.
@swordtrombonefish looks like our paths may have crossed. Big question is.....which night of the week for The Kirk? Only Friday for me, loved it in there!Depending on the crowd

Whenever I hear Uncertain Smile by The The or this song, I am taken straight back there.......We did Fridays, best night by a mile. Tried a few other nights but it never seemed the same.
We also did Tuesdays at Hardwick Hall or 'grab a granny night' as it was known
Only days I stayed in back then were Sundays and Wednesdays!
in those days you only had 1 pint per pub it was the done thing. still do it now to a lesser extentLoads on here seem to go to loads of bars on a night out? That seems well inefficient to me.
If out all night we would have probably done 2-3 pubs before 11pm, then just hit a club.
Nowadays it's more like 1 pub in town and then a late bar.
How long ago we talking, I'm talking from about 98 onwards I suppose.in those days you only had 1 pint per pub it was the done thing. still do it now to a lesser extent
