Football Manager 20/21

So the two things I REALLY miss are:

1) The ability to search for a player by just typing his name in somewhere
2) The tables that rank players on average ratings (I used to enjoy buying the top players from lower leagues)

They've gone too "authentic" and forgot that it's a game for my liking.

Both are still in the game btw

go to top on screen and just type and that’s the search bar you can type in and search anything players teams staff etc
Same with league rating

that’s the beauty of football manager it evolves nothing is replaced just added to.

it’s just there’s a lot more stuff in as well it can be confusing but yes nothing has gone.

so yep that’s still all there

You can get some of the old Champ manager games as freeware/abandon ware. I also have Sid meters pirates but prefer civ IV colonization. I also still enjoy some of the retro adventure games(monkey Island 1 and 2, Simon the sorcerer, and some modern point and click adventures). Mount and blade are very good games(if you can get used to controls). But my all time favourite games are the Total war series probably Empire or Napoleon(can get them dirt cheap on somewhere like cdkeys or eneba)
 
I’ve also bee. Playing wings ( revised version) lately as well as I got the cinema ware collection on steam

still holds up
 
01/02 was last version I played aged 29. After that it was too detailed and took too much time, you couldn’t just kill time for a spare hour or too as the game never went anywhere without sorting all the off field details up.

The day’s of CM where you’d just snap up R9, Vieri, Batistuta etc on free transfers for Boro in the summer, realise you have about 7 world class strikers and then sell 3 of them about 6 weeks later.

Taribo West was always my first free signing in one of the games
 
Last time I played FM I got really annoyed after building my teams moral up high only for them to all need 3 months off for depression after a 1 nil away loss to Man City 🙄

Don't bother with morale, if a player annoys me I put him in the u18s and transfer list him, I go out my way to annoy the press as well. I'm not very successful on it but it adds some drama lol
