FMTTM Coffee Club

There's a good chance I will be in Cambridge on the 5th, but please feel free to go ahead and book that date. It is my sister in laws birthday a few days before and my better half has asked tonight if we could go down and visit.

Just say you could but you’ve got something on, problem solved.

Are you not aware that Peterborough is a much nicer place and has a far superior football team?

We are staying at Hemingford Grey, which is nicer than both. It’s just easier to say Cambridge.

I will bib the horn when we drive past the Peterborough services. 😜

.

I bought Led Zeppelin 2 for £15 and a copy of David Bowie’s Hunky Dory for £20. They were asking £18 for a second hand re-released copy. £2 more and I knew it wouldn’t be marked.

I’ve played LZ 2 and it plays perfect and haven’t played Bowie yet.

Edit: I've searched and added this picture to @ThatFragranceGuy thread. It is too good to lose.
My copy of Hunky Dory. I think it’s an original with the date 1971 on the label.

Did you see that I won't be there Rob? If you decide to go to Mr Cooper's on Bedford Street, one of you will need to contact them to book a table with roughly how many will be attending.

Yes I saw that Al. I’m going into town on Thursday so plan on popping in and mentioning it to them.

There are nice cakes and bagels. You will all have to go upmarket for once……
And pay upmarket prices. It cost me more for a cake and coffee than it normally does for a full English and coffee in The Connexions Cafe.

And the staff were all sensible and got the orders right.

On a serious note, we shouldn't lose sight of the valuable role The Connexions Café plays in the wider community. It’s not just about coffee and cake, it’s about the important work the staff do to support some of the most vulnerable people in society. If buying a coffee helps sustain that work, then I’m all for continuing to meet there.

That said, I’m not against trying other places, but let’s keep supporting this one.

The Manor House at Hemingford Grey was built by Normans in the 1100’s I believe, are you going to lay a claim?
