Fm22 manager beta out now

As I’m not a gamer, I’ve always wondered how time-consuming this game is?

For instance, how many hours per day/week do you generally play and how long does it take to get through season?

Can you not ask any easier questions, like what is the meaning of life for instance?

Sorry, I'm being flippant there. I haven't played it for years but back in the day it would take hours just to progress a week or two. I imagine it takes even longer now there's even more things to control and tweak - do you choose to feed the players on chicken and beans or steak and chips as a pre match meal, decisions, decisions?

I dont count myself as a gamer, because I don't view fm like that, weirdly.

I'd probably say I play a couple of hours a night when chilling out after work. Probably takes me a few weeks to do a season..

Completely depends how you want to play the game, if you choose to do training/scouting etc yourself and play extended games you could take weeks to get through the season. I would usually skip all of that and just do tactics and watch key highlights in the game just to save time and would usually take around 10/15 hours to get through a season. Easy enough game to just pick up a few games now and again.

Basically you could put as much or little time as you want into the game and still be able to play it, well worth playing it if you havent before but the new ones will be slightly harder to get into with all the extra features, they have a good tutorial on the game which does help though

I really miss LMA manager on the Playstation1. That was really easy and I could cope with it. These new games are way too complex and involved for me.

I can't imagine me getting this one. I have owned nearly every FM and championship manger(think 2 of then I didn't get) have about ten years of them ony steam account. I bought fm21 but not put much time into it, most of them have 500 hours+. I find it is getting more and more in depth and just too much work. I think for me it peaked around 2015 where it had enough depth to be interesting but not too overly complicated, I can't imagine how difficult it would be for somebody who has never played them before playing fm22 for the first time.
2018 is unreal. Just started as Ajax aim to win champions league. Last one I bought was 20 absolutely hated it Var etc no fun

I managed to get them up first season (via a play off final victory).

Payero and Siliki are strong as central midfield two. Sporar got goals (and automatically transfers at the end of the first if promoted, real-life contract clause must appear in the game also).

Finding life in the top flight a bit more difficult mind! Scott signed a few South American wingers who can hopefully be moved on for decent money once improved.

Signed Tarique Fosu from Brentford in the Champo, in and out of the side but got a hattrick in the play off so all good :)

Have you set it so Scott finds and arranges transfers? I've done that but the players have been bang average so far!

I'm trying to recreate Wilder's Sheff United tactic but conceding goals for fun, still scoring a few but it's like Kevin Keegan style football.

Yep, he's picked up a few bargains so far which can hopefully be developed for a profit (does this mirror our actual recruitment strategy I wonder?) Nearly everyone coming in has had a realistic min fee clause for top 4 etc.

Wide centre backs are a thing this year I believe so might have a go with that.

thanks I’ll have to run steam to get the full thing now

wonder how long before wilder is added ( and Howe)

You just stick to your Subbuteo 😉
I think just because they get Middlesbtough to the Champions League final in 3 seasons they think Warnock should have done the same or get the sack.
Look, just get in the real world, off your X-Box (or whatever it is you use to play these pointless games) and actually go to some Boro games. We might then take your opinions a bit more seriously,.
Thanks
