This tightening of our belts must be hitting Heinz/Birds eye and most of the premium brands.

Beware of pubs/restaurants selling fish finger sarnies. I've ordered a few and it's surprising how many can't make such a simple dish.

It's a fish finger and they come frozen in breadcrumbs. Simple as that.

Two heavily buttered white slices of Warburton‘s.
Squeeze 5 of the little blighters (breadcrumb) in horizontally to the length of the bread.
Generous seasoning of salt and vinegar. Salt delivered alá Salt Bae optional.
Good squirt of tomato sauce and mayonnaise. Yes, that’s right mayonnaise.
Then proceed to smash liberally into one’s mush!

I won't make any apologies of liking the battered ones. Breadcrumbs are absolutely fine; it just felt like an upgrade.

Anyway, regardless, white bread with salad cream please.

If I'm 10 years old again, I'll have them with potato waffles and baked beans with an unreasonably silly amount of ketchup.
