First sun-burn of summer!

Feels really good enduring the pain of red raw arms and legs from sun-burn today.
Also felt good being able to visit someone without wearing a face mask and passing by crowds of people just sat outside enjoying themselves
Gonna have a BBQ breakfast tomorrow...

Decided to stay at home today - big mistake! The sun never burned through the haar, so it's been dull and quite chilly all day, while just a mile inland it's apparently been scorching. Pah!

Been out in a field for a chunk of the day then on a quick 15km on the bike so plenty of time to toast my Teesside skin.

We went for lunch down Weymouth seafront, sat outside in the garden and promptly got burnt. A year indoors made us all forget about that big shiny burny thing in the sky.

Trying to work it out myself! The photographer is based up here and he shared it just now, saying it's from today. I think it might be just inland from Whitley Bay. The golf course looks like it may be Briar Dene. He said it's less than 1km inland, which would make it right.

Walk round Black Hambleton this afty definitely caught the sun on my arms and fizzog. Its about time, May has been crap. Everything seems to have been set back, we're just reaching 'full bluebell' in the birch wood out back. Lovely end to the day.

My usual walking beat - get dropped near the airport and walked to the Devonport around 2, down to the river and then out to Lower Dinsdale church and back around Neasham. I love that walk

I did 80 km yesterday an my arms look the same colour as beetroot!
I dont care. It was great to see trees and countryside - an people in pub gardens talking and socialising
