from reading the article on talksport it was Lowe himself who pulled the chairman for a chat. He's basically resigned because he doesn't think he can take them any further.

I'd suspect he's gone into a meeting and demanded more money for transfers/wages following the opening performance.

The board have said they can't give him it, so he's said he can't take them further and they've parted ways.

Well, this goes back to end of last season in the article I read where they finished with 5 straight losses.
So I was intrigued as to di they have a mare , who was it against and 4 games were vs Norwich, Southampton, Leicester and West Brom , the other way to QPR . So thats a bit harsh when you come up v 4 of the top5 in a row . Anyway , seems he had full input on his decision so has chosen whatever is right for him
