I thought Alves was good but we didn't utilise him in the right way. He needed supply, but he showed enough early doors to show he was a good player.

It is unusual though. Akpom has scored, at championship level, 12 goals over 3 seasons. Forss got 7 in one (not as a starter). So how is Forss developmental and Akpom now a key player?

It’s especially weird given Akpom was told he could leave!

PLUS. Wilder’s record has shown that he doesn’t spot decent strikers.

For a reported £5 Million - hes wasnt worth it!

The notion that he’s good enough to turn out for Boca Juniors but not Middlesbrough is mental.

Very different styles of football though, not to mention lifestyle, country etc. Its not a like for like and many players have failed to adapt. That's what a good scouting system would try and judge to mitigate the risk.

The latter was a clown.
Even if he had got that header at Swansea, he would only get -5 / 10 for his entire stay.
