Feedback on new site thread

I'd still like the Ignore Thread button to be activated, if there's not going be a separate politics section of the site.

Big fan of the new site so far, I was critical of the old one but it seems like the lady from Google finally came through!

the only comment i have is when you view it on your phone in portrait it doesn't show the page numbers for the thread in the case of multiple pages. if that makes sense. the numbers show when holding phone on its side :D:D

I think I understand. Is it worth taking a couple of screen dumps? The nice thing is that you can attach them easily on here.

Mine puts 1 of 4 Next> and >> at the bottom of the list of posts on my phone in portrait.

I like the alerts, gives me an indication who has posted on threads I have contributed to or am watching. I was hoping for a bit more 'grouping'into subjects (dare I say a bit like one boro?!)

I think that we need to try, as posters, to change our posting habits on here. As an example, adding to existing threads rather than creating new ones.

Take last weeks passing of Kirk Douglas as an example from the other board. We all have easy access to news so expecting there not to have been a post already is a bit slim. A simple search for a couple of keywords on here and you'd find out if it had been posted.

There's so many great tools on here that we should be able to keep it organised and tidy from the onset with just a little effort.

Dood - I agree. However people have to be willing to change.

I tried the site straight after the Wigan game and it would not fully open. The old site of course would not function.

Is the new site being fully monitored, straight after games, when it is at its busiest?

Are you sure? Had no other reports of problems from any other users. There was plenty of posting going on continuously.
Did anyone else have a problem getting on this site during or after Wigan?

We've waited a long time for a new site but, to be fair, it's been worth it. Let's hope it's usable when there's a lot of traffic especially after say a controversial incident during or after a game when everyone has something to say.
Rob and Borolad eventually came up with goods, and have brought us into the 21st century :)

That is something that can "forced" by moderators. Deleting or merging duplicate posts and having a list of rules to be stuck to which can then be referenced if a post is deleted. That behaviour then becomes second nature when people are used to it. It takes active moderation though and you don't want them to be over zealous.

yep, don’t need 3 threads for every goal. A match day thread system would help a lot but then you need people to stick to it and the people that moderate it (I.e Rob) are at the game.
