That is a great film with a great ending. It resonated with me personally at the time.

The ending of Planes, Trains & Automobiles is emotional.
Although when I first saw it I was convinced his dead wife was in that trunk, which would have changed the whole film slightly 👀
 
Out of Africa

"Karen, her farm and lover gone, her life in Africa is over and she leaves, never to return. She has loved and lost, but it was better than never having loved at all. We are told at the end that she went on to write some books under a pseudonym about her adventures.
