When I was about 17 around 2006 sort of time I met Mick Jones when he was playing in a band called Carbon Silicon, We shared a joint while I told him about Boro and he told me about QPR and a player from the 70’s called Stan Bowles. He couldn’t have been a nicer bloke. I do regret not really talking about the Clash though!
Full gig, audio only.
i saw Carbon/Silicon.
nice geezer is Mick, very approachable.
Streetcore is probably my favourite too. Coma girl and Get Down Moses... Brilliant and what a way to start an album!Anyone into the Mescaleros albums? I like them all but especially Streetcore.
Absolutely 100% says exactly what the clash were about, Yes they did some classic reggae tunes ( bankrobber, white man ) and some nifty pop tunes ( should I stay, rock the kasbah ) but Complete Control is the classic Clash track...Complete Control.
End of thread.
Yes they're my two favourite tracks too, especially Get Down Moses, what a song!Streetcore is probably my favourite too. Coma girl and Get Down Moses... Brilliant and what a way to start an album!
I was there, ran straight up to Thr Rock Garden after to see Pere Ubu and just missed the fight near the Princess Alice if memory serves..Nov 17th 1978 - Middlesbrough Town Hall.
They opened up with Safe European Home - still one of the best gigs I've ever been to.
