Fatal mass shouting in Texas…

And is if to prove my point - guess where the NRA’s AGM is being held…on the 28th May….

The National Rifle Association will host its annual meeting as planned this weekend in downtown Houston, organizers and city officials said Tuesday following the deadly school shooting in Uvalde that killed 19 children.

Guns banned in the auditorium for that event on security grounds. Not even making that up.

There's people in the US who think the death of some children is acceptable collateral in their right to own a gun.

Reading through these comments is like humanity is right at the bottom of these people priorities in life, its sickening.

I just now think despite how horrific these events are I just think let them get on with it. It's terribly sad but they don't care.

This makes me sick.

Just dropped my daughters off at school this morning and the thought of this happening turns my stomach.

America is so broken, it's untrue.

Thoughts are with the families who have lost their loved ones.

What is worst, is the fact there is a very very high possibility that this won't be the last mass shooting in America.

What I struggle to wrap my head around is what clicks in someone's head when they decide they'll grab a gun and go and shoot a load of innocent primary school age kids?

Take the ease of access to a gun out of the equation for a second. People can't blame violent video games, I've played many violent video games over the years and I've never even dreamt of shooting or stabbing innocent people.
Rap music glorifies gun violence? Again, I've listened to hip hop and rap since I was a kid and it's never persuaded me shoot up a school. There is a deeper problem in America than just access to weapons.

What's a few more dead kids matter .. it's far more important that John Wayne wannabees can strut around town carrying a gun they are highly unlikely to ever have to use for the reason the 2nd amendment allows them.

Sadly things will never change over there, they are too far gone and it's awful to think that there are little kids playing with their families and friends today who are destined to not see adulthood as they will become victims themselves.

Just an awful situation :(

Texas is another level of loonies . I’ve been a few times and people love boasting about their guns or wearing a gun with their open carry license . The ease to buy a gun js nidicolous . Listened to one guy in a ship ask for a gun for home security and the guy sold him a shotgun with a laser sight ! Bonkers totally bonkers

On the subject of glorifying guns...

Just dropped mine off at primary school and nursery, and thinking of the panic, the kids screaming and everything that must've gone on in that few seconds is hard to get out of my head.

Don't all these places have their doors locked now, i know at my kids nursery i have to be buzzed in? I know it doesnt stop someone with a gun, but more guns isn't the answer to has to be ways to keep these nutjobs out in the first place.

Death is too good for them aswell, the parents of the kids should get to decide the fate or at least be given time alone with them.

As sad as this is my overriding emotion when I first read this is one of anger. Strangely enough, not towards the perpetrator but the resistance against gun laws.

I suppose my anger stems from the fact that I know this will happen time and time again. Its absolute madness.

Why stop at teachers? Surely arming all the kids is the only way forward.
You say that in jest, but i believe it's been mentioned previously as a "solution" at High Schools. Some guvenor banging on about arming the best shooters.

I don't think you can apply logic to an act like that. It's no dount a cocktail of psychological problems, unstable upringing, perhaps exposure to extreme groups online etc etc. That's not excuses, but extreme crimes appear to usually have that sort of mix of factors
But what's clear is that there's a culture of owning and using guns that allows this to happen.

So so sad....poor kids and their devastated parents and yet the nut job who's threatening to run for president again will be addressing the NRA annual meeting on Friday 270 miles from where this shooting happened..
Sick pack of bstrds
