FAO THE PINK PONCE

See you’re lurking! Be good to see you post, fella. Still recall a lot of posts from you - made me laugh numerous times!
Always wondered what happened with him, i thought that he may have found himself a girlfriend or something.
Same for Littlejimmy I used to find myself in agreeance with a lot of what he penned.

Would love to hear more from those guys, very entertaining.

I'm hoping he's just waiting on Peterborough to clinch promotion and then he can tell me when we've got them as that is one away day I cannot wait for.

They're both still around but don't think either of them visit here regularly. LJ particularly is a decent fella, don't know PP as well.

Thanks for that Harry. Yeah I really liked LJ.
On another note mate after you mentioned Crete in the Anzac thread, I was wondering what took you there?

My wife and I went because we wanted to go to the Minoan site of Knossos and to walk the Somaria (sp?) gorge.
We were enjoying our stay so much that we decided to stay longer and see more and thats when we found Souda bay
and the war graves.

Was just on holiday with an ex, mate. Had no idea of anything happening at the time until the guy running the bar where we were staying told us about it. We were in Maleme, which was pretty much a military base at the time - God knows why we ended up there on holiday, it must have been cheap! Anyway the guy took us with him to the ceremony and we watched the parachute re-enactments on the beach from about 20 yards and then the Greek President walked right by us on the beach with his security team. Was an amazing day and then we went up the hill behind the village to pay our respects at the cemetery.

That's brilliant.

Another reason that we went was that we were travelling around the Islands and it was only Spring and were looking
for somewhere a tad warmer.
Having said that tho, travelling around Greece at that time of year was really beautiful.
Hardly any tourists around and pretty much had the place to ourselves which was great for bargaining for accommodation.
And the wildflowers, oh wow, those wildflowers. The whole country was in full bloom.
