The core RF who have been there from the start seem to be good, well-meaning lads.
It’s the tagalongs that give them a bad name.

I remember watching Boro play Hartlepool in a pre-season match. There were missiles thrown onto the pitch from some Boro fans. At the station, waiting for the train back to Middlesbrough, I heard a woman becoming emotional and telling all and sundry that it was the fault of Red Faction. The woman? Julie Philips, who I believe is banned for life from the Riverside (I haven't heard if this appealed and she was given a weaker sanction) after various racist incidents, the straw that broke the camels back being ripping up the Koran in Birmingham.
I recall some on here using the Jimmy Savile defence for her ie. She helped disabled supporters, so that trumped her racism.
They will and decide they are cool as f*** and well hard.I hope whoever they were take a look at themselves.
Are we talking about the fat balding over-50s idiots I witnessed yesterday - lifting their flabby and arthritic fists to each others faces under the bridge on the way out. Shouting and acting their shoe-sizes not their ages? They will and decide they are cool as f*** and well hard.
Total imbeciles.
I saw two fat blokes in their fifties doing a bit of disco hand slapping.. I think folks were embarrassed for them more than anything else. Didn't looks as it anyone got hurt anyway. Are we talking about the fat balding over-50s idiots I witnessed yesterday - lifting their flabby and arthritic fists to each others faces under the bridge on the way out. "Red Faction 08" can speak for themselves, but they dont portray the image of being "hard" or any such thing.
They are almost always a great bunch of lads, who do a lot for others and are integral to regenerating and re-energising the atmosphere at the club. They also raise a lot of money for local charities - without shouting from the rooftops. They spend a huge amount of time getting donations to buy and make the banners and the flag displays. All I think most people want to establish were if those at the station had anything to do with rf08 and if they did - they need to think long and hard.

Aye cos their opinion counted for zero. They’ve consistently challenged the club on things like ticket price hikes but the club do what they want regardless.Red Faction have left the Middlesbrough Supporters Forum.
Pass it on - they do a bluddy good job without having a badgeAye cos their opinion counted for zero. They’ve consistently challenged the club on things like ticket price hikes but the club do what they want regardless.
Rude. I always act my shoe size. I am in a slightly tight 62 these days. Are we talking about the fat balding over-50s idiots I witnessed yesterday - lifting their flabby and arthritic fists to each others faces under the bridge on the way out. Shouting and acting their shoe-sizes not their ages?

I do think this is a problem. The Comms about digital tickets, the membership scheme and how it works, all absolutely zero involvement publicly with fans. @fmttmadmin you know better than us, how bothered are the club about what matters to us fans? Where are we in their consideration?Aye cos their opinion counted for zero. They’ve consistently challenged the club on things like ticket price hikes but the club do what they want regardless.
Is that what happened then?Aye cos their opinion counted for zero. They’ve consistently challenged the club on things like ticket price hikes but the club do what they want regardless.
Its the fact the hoodies looked like the ones RF wear with the lion emblem in yellow.Football violence is pathetic but why call RF out because someone had one of their Hoodies on. If they had been wearing Lonsdale tops would you be calling out Direct Sports?.
RF do a great job and can't be expected to have control over someone because they wear their tops. Give it a rest.
That’s a stupid toys out the pram stance to take. I’m sure the club would like to have cheaper tickets but they have to pay the bills, they can’t just say errrm ok to every demand from groups that have no experience of how to run a multimillion pound businessAye cos their opinion counted for zero. I can see their point on this and feel the club is only paying lip service to a lot of the things suggested at these forums unless it benefits them. You only have to read the forum notes to see that. That’s a stupid toys out the pram stance to take. Ask any fan of any club if they want cheaper tickets and the answer will be yes, that doesn't make it viable though. If they want to press for cheaper tickets then they can only do that through the fans forum. If that is their only point of order then so be it, if their are other things they want to talk about to enhance the experience then they've just walked away from the opportunity to do that which seems churlish.I can see their point on this and feel the club is only paying lip service to a lot of the things suggested at these forums unless it benefits them.
