FAO Qatar boycotters

This isn't a thread to wind anyone up. I'm just wondering (out of genuine curiosity) if you've been tempted to, or already, cracked and watched some of the tournament.

Or are you tempted to make an exception for England on Saturday night, or would you for Brazil v Argentina, or any other fixture. Or would you make an exception just for the final if England got there?

I admire your stance if you have managed to avoid thus far.

I've watched every game although some of them on fast forward after recording them.
There's been s few good games but also some really boring ones. Enjoying it overall.

I managed to boycott the first game. After that I've ended up watching most of it, but not all of it. I'm usually over at my parents' house during the day so if they're watching it I can't really avoid it.

I'm not boycotting it but I've not bothered watching most of it, watched the England games and that's it basically. Still not that excited about the whole affair.
I've started watching the England games, but have largely missed the rest. My stance softened, mainly cos I've been on holiday this week, read all my books and am generally bored shitless.

Haven't watched a single minute, but as I've previously stated I'm not that bothered about international football. So hasn't been particularly difficult.

Saturday evening? Hopefully happy Boro have 3 points in the bag, watch a movie or something. 👍

If England get beat, won't affect me at all. If Boro get beat I'll be narked.

I’ve done what I said I probably would, and hypocritically started watching the England knock out games. Nothing else seen so far and next to no interest beyond us.

I've not seen any of it yet other than the odd clip on the news. The first England game was on in the hospital waiting room when I had an appointment a couple of weeks ago but I managed to find a spot where I couldn't see it. My local pub has a TV but it's not on for all the games and mostly has the sound down so it's easy to avoid. I was even in there for the second England game but was in a different room. I'll be travelling when the game starts on Saturday and hope to find a pub where it isn't on.

Will you crack and flick it on though?

OK, but were you planning to boycott it in the first place?
