Fans to be issued with huge new punishment after law change into drugs on matchdays

Seems to me that sensible policing would deal with this issue best. There's already rules in place to ban people and there's simply not enough policing of the actual issues going on.

Cocaine use at football is a massive issue. Boro away days are a joke for coked up bellends.

Distraction to take away the fact that the police are not resourced effectively and I would suggest, working with them each day, are not able to focus their energies where they should be

No need for the rampant drug use, definitely seems like taking a hammer to a nut in terms of punishment but it's a growing problem.

there are laws already in place for possession and supply of drugs it's lack of resources to enforce these laws. Instead of wasting time creating specific legislation for drug taking environments they would be better putting a couple of drug detection dogs on the turnstiles and through the toilets it's really that simple.

There was a sniffer dog outside the away end yesterday.

Drugs are not the issue, its the behaviour of some of the people that take them.

This is typical Conservative policy law making, missing the point by focusing on the punishment rather than the cause.

10 years for possession? Utterly ridiculous, regardless of the fact no court will impose anything even remotely near the maximum sentence, in a prison system that is already too focused on punishment and absolutely overcrowded.

It will serve as a zero deterrent.

It's banned from football for 10 years, not jailed.
