Fake Meat

I cant see the attraction and find it bizarre the number of meat substitutes ie bacon burger steaks sausages surely vegans should be interested in plant based food and stay away from meat even if its pretend

Ditto processed meats - sausages, burgers,

Also - depends on the ingredients.
But you can make your own sausages or burgers in a couple of minutes using whatever you like. I'd argue if most people made their own burgers for a bbq or even Air fryer/George Forman and saw how easy it was, they'd never buy frozen / processed ones

Beef mince, egg, salt, pepper, onion, you can even cut out the salt, pepper and onion if you want to go really basic.

You can't whip up your own beyond burger or fillet steak substitute

Lab grown meat is the same, that chicken hasn't been pecking corn to grow up. It gets soaked in growth hormones and preservatives.

Grass fed chicken or chemical bath chicken... tough call for many I'm sure

"cultured meat lacks the sensory and nutritional properties of traditional meat. Therefore, additives, such as flavourings, colourings, myoglobin, vitamins, and minerals may be added to the culture."

Delicious

Quorn nuggets are pretty close to chicken nuggets, but I suppose there's very little of a real meat texture in a chicken nuggets to begin with.
The Burger King ones are mental. I had some recently and was sure they’d just given me normal nuggets. Had them again a few weeks later “to check” and they were definitely vegan.

Why? Being plant based just means you don’t eat meat or animal products, it doesn’t mean you will only eat plants.

The red stuff that comes out of steaks isn’t blood
Agreed it's myoglobin but it's a technicality really. It's part of blood, it's what gives red meat its red colour. Calling it myoglobin doesn't make it better for people than calling it blood, and I say that as someone who takes their steak rare most the time.

Of course you can make your own.
But, come on, the vast majority don’t

More a product of my dog being unwilling to fully evacute in one go 😱
His current record is 5 bags in one walk. He costs a fortune 😁
Same scenario for me, he also likes a 'show poo', quiet back lane, no thank you, Wolviston/Billingham A689 roundabout at morning rush, yes please.

The fat in beef has so many vitamins and nutrients in it, that would be very hard to replicate.
It's all about moderations though, moderate levels of those fats to absorb the vitamins and nutrients is great.......but it becomes net bad for you with just moderate levels of those fats.
