Apples and oranges. Surely you appreciate the variation of dynamics and expectations on people in the variety of professions that exist?I can't agree with your last comment. Why do the basic rules of decency change for a footballer? Because they play in front of a crowd or because they get paid a lot.
I'll say it again, those who think it's OK to publucly critisize a man doing his job want their anger and frustration addressed. They want someone to blame for making them angry. It has nothing to do with how you improve a player. Perhaps these are the people who need to get a grip.
I didn't say any of that though, quite the opposite in fact. Nothing wrong with criticism. Plenty wrong with public criticism.Apples and oranges. Surely you appreciate the variation of dynamics and expectations on people in the variety of professions that exist?
Let's just get rid of criticism and reactionary fans ey, just sanitise the game. Don't be narked and express it if someone is poor at key aspects of their role, don't apply compliments if they're great. Or only do one but not the other?
It's professional football, not accountancy. What do you think goes on in high level sport? (driven by spectators I might add)
Too risky to start Sol, so much at stake, stick with Lumley, we have so far,not confident but neither am I on the other options.
Key decision for Friday's game, key decision for a play off place.
I'm nervous either way
