FA Cup final day memories

Driving home from Wembley in a hailstorm !
Just outside Luton when this hit, seeing poor motorcyclist in agony trying to get shelter under bridge. It was weird as rest of day had been glorious. Dents left in my car roof and bonnet were ridiculous.

Also remember stopping for fantastic curry in Leicester.

Plus it was about the same time as Mellor and his awful comments about our hitler salutes to Duchess of Kent - prat (can't put what I really think of him)

Two that stand out:

Firstly, I was sat in the row behind Terry Venables, who was with a young lad in full Boro kit.

He had sight of the monitors in the press box, and turned round to me and my brother after replays of Festa’s disallowed effort to say “It was a goal!”

Then, as we left, walking back down Wembley way, a triumphant Chelsea fan said to a group of Boro fans: “Sorry lads. But after 26 years you’ve got to say we deserved it!”

To which one Boro lad said, with more hurt than humour : “How about never?!”

Being on a tube from Central London to Wembley packed with Chelsea fans. Fooking horrible. Absolute pond life.

Ticket had "Severely Restricted View" stamped across - but to be there and for £10 who cares? Massive column right in front of me, literally legs touching it, couldn't see about a third of the pitch .....🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
