Everton next points deduction no later than April 8th

Everton equaliser, get in.

Clear penalty, not sure how the referee missed it the first time.

They can still go in to the relegation zone with a points deduction, but it makes it less likely that Newcastle get in to Europe.
 
Putting Everton to one side for a moment can anyone explain to me why Manchester City have not had any punishment so far ?
 
They're expected to get a 6 point deduction on Monday, so they'll be in the relegation zone even if Luton lose to Arsenal tomorrow.

I believe it’s for a couple of reasons;

Firstly the rules changed in order to speed up the process, and have the punishment applied as early as possible. I now think accounts for the season have to be filed by end of Dec so can be reviewed.

City’s have over 100 different charges that all need to be considered separately, case prepared and presented. These charges brought before the introduction of the fast track system.

The charges are slightly different, Everton’s accounts show they have overspent and broken the rules, City’s don’t. The charges I believe are around the overinflation of income and the moving of costs to other areas. Much more complex to prove

I don’t know. There is a large Volume all with different defences and legal standing. Am sure city will be spending a lot on some cleaver legal people. I also think it’s harder to prove that Etihad paid too much for sponsorships etc.

Due to this and not needed to be fast tracked I think will probably well in to next season before we get a decision.

Also they have been charged but that doesn’t make them guilty.
