Will it be another 10 - or more?
Or will 6 be the benchmark figure now?

All appeals have to be done and dusted before the annual general meeting in June when the relegated clubs transfer their certificates. If they appeal any deduction the decision is not announced until after the season is over.
That could be very interesting
It certainly wouldn’t be helpful but they shouldn’t believe they have stayed up if that ends up being the case. All appeals have to be done and dusted before the annual general meeting in June when the relegated clubs transfer their certificates.
You could have teams believing they have stayed up only for the decision to be overturned on an appeal.
They have already messed this up. It is a farce that this situation has arisen.I hope they totally mess this up and it becomes a football wide scandal.
That is simply unrealistic. What you are asking for is final accounts for the year to 30th June to be submitted, audited by the authorities, charges brought, penalties imposed, appeals prepared and heard and a final decision made inside of 6 weeks. All punishments need to be in place prior to the season starting. That includes appeals heard and actioned.
Could the solution be any penalties are applied the following season. They get found guilty this season, have all the appeals etc, and the penalty is applied to next season at the end of the appeals so everyone knows where they are. That is simply unrealistic. Basically there'd be no time for proper investigation or due process and you would almost certainly end up with erroneous penalties being rushed through, followed by court actions by clubs that drag on years and years and ultimately end with massive financial awards to clubs wrongly relegated 5 years earlier.
I'm confused at why there is a second potential penalty hanging over Everton this season? Surely it should either be applied next season or it should have been incorporated with the first 10 (6) point sanction?Could the solution be any penalties are applied the following season. I think it is fine as it is, although ideally deductions and appeals would be finalised a bit earlier in the season.Could the solution be any penalties are applied the following season. The first charge related to 3 years ending June 22 and the second charge for the 3 years ending June 23. I guess the Premier League was slow in dealing with the first charge but has got its act together for the year ended June 23.I'm confused at why there is a second potential penalty hanging over Everton this season? Yes, it all seems very slapdash and off the cuff. The first charge related to 3 years ending June 22 and the second charge for the 3 years ending June 23. I guess the Premier League was slow in dealing with the first charge but has got its act together for the year ended June 23.
The Premier League needs to have heard Everton and Forest's cases by 8 April. No doubt both clubs will appeal their points deduction to try and circumnavigate relegation but it all needs to be concluded by the 24th of May. There is a general meeting scheduled for June when any relegated club will transfer their certificates.Just been reading about it. The next meeting is currently scheduled for May the 24th. That's after the season ends. So technically both Everton and Forest could be relegated after the season is over.
What an absolute joke. Just leaving everyone down at the bottom in limbo. They will not know what points tally is required to be 'safe'. Imagine Forest or Everton 'staying up' 4th-5th bottom on the final day. Then relegated two weeks later.
All punishments need to be in place prior to the season starting. That includes appeals heard and actioned.
That article says Forest look Fecked. You can lose 105mil over a 3 year period. They spent 250mil and only recouped 5mil. Even the Brendon Johnson money doesn't count as outside the 3 year window.
Chelsea will almost certainly be the next one. Apparently a fire sale in the summer. Although zero chance of getting remotely the money back on any players they bought. Also good look getting them out the door when sat on 5-6-7 year contracts (who thought that was a good idea).
