EV cars why are so many ugly SUVs

On the subject of EV torque being a danger I used to have a modest nissan leaf when I lived in London. Its acceleration got me out of lots of problems at roundabouts and complex junctions. The car wasn't otherwise any faster than an ICE after say 40 mph.

"They are heavy" is classic anti EV FUD isn't it? Because it can easily be over stated and then you get ridiculous stories about car parks cocollapsing.

"Ridiculous story" from the Institution of Civil Engineers who probably know a thing or two about the design parameters of concrete car parks.
To be fair their conclusion may also be equally applicable based on the proliferation of SUVs rather than purely EVs, but from the EVs I've looked at I don't think there's much of an argument that EVs are lighter than an equivalent ICE vehicle.

Yes it’s a ridiculous story because as you say it’s spin as being anti EV when it’s anti heavy car. Utterly ludicrous but it shows how much money big oil is spending to try and convince people EV are bad

I'm stating that SUVs are the problem as they are heavier Regardless of powertrain. I'm also stating my last diesel was heavier than my current EV.

Because it can easily be over stated and then you get ridiculous stories about car parks collapsing, tyre dust and the wholly inaccurate worn brakes stuff. It's a great thing. And I can see why big oil and the anti ev clan keep banging that drum. But it's a modern car problem, not an EV problem.

Sorry if my last post came across as childish but there’s a tendency for people like you to make very large extrapolations when you want to try and “win” a debate. Such as me saying something is over stated. And you claiming it means I’m saying “EV are lighter than ICE” it happens a lot.
