Yes COVID-19 deaths. Thats the virus we have no immunity to and no vaccine to. That's the one we are trying to control through lockdown. I'm surprised you haven't realised this yet.
 
Anyway I'm looking forward to our trip to Amsterdam next year. We are driving to over via the tunnel for a week.
 
Ok let me out it another way: do you think it's acceptable that 300 more people are dying every single day, just because you want a beer or whatever selfish reason you have for ending lockdown early

I drink my beers at home but thanks for completely missing the point.

Who or what is going to pay for the NHS to run next year and the years after that?

Plus you've just said it yourself, if the lockdown was brought in to slow the spread of the virus and it hasn't why are we still locked down?

It has slowed it down, just not sufficiently because so many people are following Cummings' example. As for paying for it, it will have to be done on Government borrowing until such time that people can safely go back to work and taxes can be raised.

Early lockdown, lower death rate, fewer cases and sooner you come out of it. Look at the measures of the countries that Greece are allowing in. Quite different country to country, but all took early action.

It hasn’t been applied correctly, the lockdown needs to be stricter to kill the virus

Already been open here in Spain for a couple of weeks, to 50% capacity outdoors - seems to be being observed and managed really well from what I can see here in Malaga

Spain are removing their quarantine restriction on 1st July, and I guess France will reciprocate

What are the distancing measures in place in Spain matey? Have the hospitality industry over there spoken about the winter period yet?
