Euro 2028 UK and Ireland

They’re all a bit like Triggers broom though.
Decent football grounds. A step up from some of the newer ones. Lots of those going to games are more interested in seeing a ground that's a bit different to the more recent identikit stadia being built in the last 20 or 30 years.

Have to agree. I managed to get to Griffin Park for Boro's game against Brentford before they moved and I loved the place. So much character. The new place is all beige paint.

Old Trafford - 75k - 1910
Anfield - 54K - 1892
Sid James Park - 53K - 1880
Villa Park - 42K - 1897
Stamford Bridge - 40K - 1905
Goodison Park - 40K - 1892
Hillsborough - 39K - 1899
Elland Road - 38K - 1919

Every old stadium above 35K still in use. Genuinely surprised there were that many.
an they laughed when I said we should have expanded the Riverside to 42k

..well, they’re not laughing now!

How many of those stadium have had all the stands replaced in the last 40 years? I'd guess Goodison and Hillsborough and Elland Road are hte only ones that haven't been completely replaced?

Obviously for the Euros and not the demand from City fans.
They will fill it Zoo. In the PL anyway. They fill 97% of the stadium every home game and the empty seats are usually at midweek cup matches. Unlike United fans who have loads of tourist fans the ticket prices are very high in a cost of living crisis And City like many teams don’t completely sell out those games.
