If we increased capacity to 55k and halfed ticket prices I think we would get over 40k a game. Then we would be in the running to host big sporting events such as euros world cups etcI'm afraid it's been going the other way in recent years.

I love the fact they've merged the external aesthetics with the more modern seating. The facade to the Holte End is one of British footballs finest.Good, traditional ground Villa Park.
It could be increased to 40k by adding a tier around the east stand. Won't happen though. If we increased capacity to 55k and halfed ticket prices I think we would get over 40k a game. Then we would be in the running to host big sporting events such as euros world cups etc
I do dream that one day we can expand and get those big big crowds again. For the longevity of the club cheaper tickets but many more fans bought into the club is really important. If we increased capacity to 55k and halfed ticket prices I think we would get over 40k a game. London Stadium possibly. BBC are reporting Everton’s new stadium.A final list of 10 stadia to include Dublin, Belfast, Scotland, Wales as well as England.
If 6 are picked in England (max) I'd say Wembley, Old Trafford, St James', Villa Park, Tottenham Hotspur and one other, but where?

That would be an incredibly risky financial strategy, huge outlay for very little gain, and the strong possibility of course that attendances don’t rise how you hope. We’d also still be 40 miles south of the nearest big city with a stadium no bigger. If we increased capacity to 55k and halfed ticket prices I think we would get over 40k a game. Then we would be in the running to host big sporting events such as euros world cups etc
Anfield is not eligible as their pitch isn't big enough to meet uefa requirements.Anfield probably
Yes I can only assume it’s a ploy to get all 5 British Isles teams into the tournament. In fact it’s a surprise we haven’t lumped Gibraltar in there. It’s a farce Why do we need any other nation let alone 4/5 of them as let’s face it we could host it all tomorrow in London let alone the rest of the country.

It’s all linked to accessibility and accommodation isn’t it?

There’s your ten provided the developments finish on time imo.
6 venues in England and one in each of the other countries? Doubt it.
I'm sorry, but that's complete rubbishIf we increased capacity to 55k and halfed ticket prices I think we would get over 40k a game.
We would have no chance, Sunderland, newcastle and Leeds all have huge grounds within 90 minutes of Teesside, a fourth ground for the region will never be chosen when there is only 10 for a full tournament needed. We need to look at increasing the capacity of the Riverside to get these sort of sporting events
The official bid stated 2 in Ireland, 1 each in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales then 6 in England. Likely just be Wembley, Spurs, one from Manchester, Villa and Newcastle in England6 venues in England and one in each of the other countries? Doubt it.

Ireland only has one decent sized stadium able to hold football matches, that's the Aviva Stadium. The GAA won't allow professional football to be played on their grounds. The official bid stated 2 in Ireland, 1 each in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales then 6 in England.
