Not been to the city before and need to get a super early flight back on the Tuesday, so I’m just gonna stay at the airport (Holiday Inn). It’s not too far from the city so will get a cab there after the match then at least my morning won’t be too stressful.

I am a travel agent in my spare time so pretty good at picking up good hotels cheaply. For Euro 2024 I booked several 3 or 4* rooms for me and my son across the knockout games in the hope of getting tickets - well in advance so prices were lower. Mainly twins, but in Duesseldorf, we have two double rooms at the Fritz for 1/7 only, 4* boutique right in the centre. It'll cost you €332 to book direct this morning but if youre ok with a double would be prepared to offer one room at a very substantial discount (or, if you have 2 extra tickets, for nothing!) and we will take the other.

For the QF in the same city, I picked up the Inside by Melia Duesseldorf Derendorf which is not in the centre but fairly close to the ground. However I just checked and for the 1/7 it has gone up to €350 so I wouldnt go for that!

Almost certainly there will be tickets in the next sales phase
 
I only got offered on 3 of the 4 matches I originally bid on, so presume nothing available in Cologne. Had to go Cat 2 for both games, so ditched Gelsenkirchen too
