So, it’s not just the UK and FIFA.
‘a bribery and corruption scandal of epic proportions’, according to the EU office of Transparency International.
This board is, quite rightly, quick to castigate corruption in other countries and organisations (where the UK does not have a direct financial interest, e.g. the US), but not here. Do some posters feel intimidated by the potential pro-EU response, or are we simply not interested?

But how exactly will it impact us here in the UK? When compared with the theft of OUR money by a certain member of the House of Lords I'd hazard it's a bit of a non-event especially as we 'got Brexit done'.

That was not my question Chickenrunner. And I suspect that you are not so insular as to only comment on issues that are likely to have a direct impact (however that may be defined) on the U.K.

Indeed we will, but it was the absence of commentary that interested me, hence my original post. There is a very strong pro-E.U. bias on the board, I understand that as a remain voter, but I also suspect that some are dissuaded from commenting due to the occasionally vitriolic response from others. If the pro E.U. argument is to be won, then encouraging and discussing alternative viewpoints is the first step.

This country can’t say anything about corruption. Places like Yeman bombed to bits with British made planes and weapons, yet not a thing mentioned in the British media or parliament. Imagine if it was Russia doing the bombing instead of The House of Saud?!

The petrodollar owned vast swaths of London and other areas. Not a thing mentioned there either. London bankers have done well out of it since the 70’s though, so all is good.
