Weighed in overnight on Scottish greens leader who is calling for an investigation into the Trump organisation’s takeover of two Scottish golf courses including Turnberry. Eric in a speech has labelled the Scots politician “a national embarrassment“

"As a company, the Trump Organisation has invested hundreds of millions of dollars into the Scottish economy, rescued Turnberry, a Scottish national treasure on the brink of collapse, and rebuilt it into one of the finest resorts anywhere in the world.

"In both Aberdeen and Turnberry, the Trump Organisation has created thousands of jobs and has made an overwhelming contribution to the leisure and tourism industry."

Eric Trump said that both courses have been recognised with "countless accolades".

Quick fact check. The Trumps employ 625 people and haven’t paid a penny in Corporation tax.

To be fair to him (God knows why I'm typing that!) he may not be claiming that all those jobs are direct employees of the organization, but related jobs such as suppliers, contractors etc.

Exactly.
Sometimes people are guilty of forgetting about the supply network to places like golf clubs and hospitality in general.

I read with some amusement that Trump collected $76m in donations in the latter months of his tenancy (he never presided over anything) - not $1 was spent on fighting against election fraud.

He has fallen out with his original impreachment lawyers over costs, his new lawyers submitted an impeachment response stating their arguments against the "Unites States"

Grift to the max.

"Trump" must now be one of the most toxic brands on earth now.

"Aspirational luxury for rednecks racists and white supremacists" what a new marketing logo that would be.

"You choose Trump, when you want to climb the ladder, but at someone else's expense"

They also reneged on promises they made about jobs and investment, ruined parts of the landscape been at war with local residents, and caused a lot of unrest in the area. The world hates the Trumps, and it's their own fault for being psychopathic, parasitic, manipulative a--holes

Yeah that's taking on face value his claim that the courses were failing prior to Trump buying them
The Aberdeen one didn't exist and it has never provided the income or jobs that were promised for destroying a SSSI. At least it loses money for the Trump empire.

If Trunmp says something, I presume it's a lie, that tends to be the safest way to view him
Well yes, that's a given. But the comment was that only 625 people work at the courses and the following comments were that the total number should include supporting services, which is correct, whether or not is rant has any validity is another matter

Never even looked at his courses before tbh so just had a look at Turnberry and wondered how much for a round. a 10am tee off for a Saturday in May..... £500 for a two-ball.

:ROFLMAO: No chance mert!
