England team for Germany?

I think Southgate is probably leaning towards 4-3-3 given Germany play a 3-4-3. If Sterling and whoever stay high and wide then that forces the German wing-backs further towards their own goal. Do that at England's three in midfield could gain the upper hand against the German two.

Definitely an an opportunity to overload them in midfield.
 
Pre tournament I would have said to drop Sterling, however as he’s the only player to actually score in the tournament I think he’ll play.

Germany play a high line and are slow at the back, someone with pace playing off the last man is needed. He’ll never drop him but if Kane keeps dropping deep I think that just plays into Germany’s hands. He’ll just be pressed out of the game.

Ye sterling is the first name on the sheet based on the group games. Lots of effort and the player who has got himself into more scoring positions than others

like the idea of him as a 10, I think it’ll bring Kane into more for assists to have pace directly behind him. Then sancho/saka with foden.

For me it’s the best way to exploit Germany.

dont mind grealish in the team, but there’s a lot of hype. Some justified some Unjustified
