Apart from the mistake, I thought he did ok today. He delivered a few very decent crosses and was unlucky not to make up for his error with a goal of his own. Early days but decent enough Championship player for me. Yeah, he made a very costly mistake but he’s shown enough to suggest he can do a good job for us. I quite like him.

He's good going forward, OK defensively, but made a couple of mistakes. He's just settling into the side. As Carrick said, when we're trying to play a this way, sometimes these sort of things will happen. It's just a shame it happened at the worst possible time.

I'm convinced he'll turn out to be a good signing.

It's absolutely obscene that fans make their judgements on new players after less than half a dozen games.

The lad has joined from a completely different country, league and pace of play.

How about we let Carrick & Co have a bit of time to work with him???

His performance at the weekend rang alarm bells for me.

Players often need a chance when coming from a foreign league, but some of the fundamentals are worrying.

The way Smith tied him him knots was far too easy and QPR obviously saw him as a weakness as they repeatedly played the ball in behind him and turned him round.

The signing of Bangura maybe suggests the club feel the same - it will be interesting to see who starts the next game.
