Brilliant centre forward. He's a classic, old school centre forward who knows instinctively when and where to make his runs, he's brave, excellent in the air, can look after himself and is a wonderful finisher. Took both his goals expertly tonight.

Only really ever watched him in World Cups where he played second fiddle to Suarez a bit so never really rated him as top rank elite before. But boy has he shown some class since arriving in the Premier League.

If he's not the best number 9 in the league, it's because Kane is so exceptional. Pure class. Not unlike Zlatan's cameo at United, or Alen Boksic actually.

Seems he wants to play for Boca Juniors next season but Man U are presumably throwing the kitchen sink at him. Keeping him might save them buying a Kane or a Haaland this summer.

Uruguayans are a different breed, absolute monsters. There's a great article to be written about why Uruguayans and Croatians are so good at football considering their population sizes, in contrast to say, Bolivians and Slovenians.

Absolute quality. He has such fantastic movement and also for a 'superstar' a proper grafter.

You'd think at his age and what he's done in the game he would maybe be easing down. A real example to all forwards.

I have to admit probably wrongly I've never overly rated him. I guess smashing goals in at PSG when they dominate I thought 'meh' or too old for the prem.

It's a shame one of the big guns didn't buy him 10 years ago. I'm sure he could have been a top Prem CF for years. I think it's a must that UTD keep him for another year (I would say we need a forward put he's on 250k a week😂)

Bit of a dilemma for Utd. Pull out all the stops to keep him for another year with the risks of injury (he's had a few and he's 35), or go out and try and compete with the big boys for Haaland & Kane.

Could also try to keep him and AND get another, but unlikely. Might sweeten the Utd fans if the Glazers had a good summer transfer splurge.

Brilliantly taken, but VAR fails again.
VAR got it right by the rules of VAR.

The offside wasn't the error they had to check - it was the referee assuming Bruno Fernandes had touched it.

The fact he didn't wasn't a clear and obvious error (as determined by the VAR person).

VAR is still utter dog-turd, mind.
