One of her friends has posted a picture of her sons Easter egg delivery from the Easter bunny. Must be about 60 Easter eggs, I was horrified

Is it love or child abuse?

This sort of thing always confuses me.

Surely no right thinking parent believes they're doing their child good by doing this sort of thing?

Easter seems to have turned into Christmas for some. Kids being given clothes and trainers etc for Easter. Each to their own, but not for me.

Each to their own. I’m sure little Jonny won’t be sitting down to each them all in one go.

Stop trying to shame people and being judgemental

Easter was the most important week in our house when i was growing up - much more important than Christmas, which came behind New Year.

we got new clothes & shoes.

only 1 chocolate egg each though - and a tanner (6d).

ive not seen the pic of this reported overload of chocolate, but it really is overkill and wont be helpful in anyway to the little boy - unless of course he gives 59 of them away to those less fortunate than himself.

We’ve got our lad clothes and one egg. Really got sick of making cornflake cakes with melted down Easter Eggs.

But as a couple of others have said each to their own, we spoil our lad on every occasion and I don’t think we do it to make up for anything (although in our defence we don’t stick what we’ve got him all over Facebook).

How much did it cost? I bet it was obscenely expensive.

I was out in Leeds last night, on way home now, and opening this post is the first time I’ve actually realised it’s Easter today.
