Early Bird Season Tickets on sale

£550 at the very least for a new season ticket is an absolute disgrace especially when it could be for championship football next season. I doubt another club in the league will be that expensive
If we went up it would be the cheapest 'new' season ticket in the PL.

If we go up the price will be even more

But that’s not true, have a quick search and you will see plenty of premier league sides actually charge less than we do for championship football

We've now started to encroach on the "football for fans" is too expensive argument. Not just Boro, but across the board.......and then moves into a societal issue.

Clubs know fans are footy junkies - they will pay whatever to get their fix. And the dealers / clubs don't give one sh*t how the money is found, as long as it in their hands. Which, it does.

Got to say I’m really disappointed with the increase - and it does seem difficult to understand which is why it would be great if the club was more transparent about finances. Does this cost increase go towards transfers/agents? If so it’s not really going to make a dent. Is it going to give non playing staff a raise - potentially a bit more palatable? Is it going toward stadium upgrades? Etc…

Interesting to se what happens next, whether any of the fans group may decide to undertake further demonstrations.
Perhaps it will go to offset cost increases and the ongoing losses that we are currently making.

So much for people being put off by the prices: renewals are so popular that you have to queue to get on the ticketing website:

Going up £1.30 per game if we're in the Championship, £1.57 per game if we're in the Premier League.

Hardly bank breaking or surprising with the cost of everything going up. Let's hope it's a Premier League season card! 🤞

Mine is going up £30 in the East Stand lower which seems a reasonable increase and about what I expected.

However I won't be renewing as I decided ages ago this would be my last season as a season ticket holder (had one for 30 + years) as I don't enjoy the match day experience any more. Nothing to do with the price.

Can understand people struggling to pay the extra costs, it's certainly not cheap for families to go these days.

I imagine only Bournemouth getting relegated would beat that in the Championship.

And that’s fine if that’s the case, but I just wish they be more upfront about it. Much easier to justify if they can say we made an underlying loss of x last year, the club has internalised x debt within the trading group, we spent x on transfers/wage and we expect costs to go up by x for the coming year - therefore prices are going up by x to contribute to this.

Unfortunately we live in a world where football clubs can be secretive (not that MFC are anywhere near the worst offender), and clubs can charge what they want because they have an almost unique customer base loyalty

Wanted to move to family zone and get my boy his first ticket but appears to be either sold out or not available for new tickets yet.

These are 'early bird' prices the price will further rise after the deadline and once the season has come to a close by at least another £30 regardless of league we'll be in

Not for 'new' season tickets. There are some who do for existing holders, you're right.

Basically it costs less to watch top class premier league football than to watch Middlesbrough in the championship. Not sure how anyone can justify that, or even justify the fact we spend more than fans at almost every other championship club to watch our team

I thought we had the best owner in football?
