He walked out of Oxford to join rivals Northampton. Then walked out of Northampton to join Sheffield United. You can be a decent bloke and also be ambitious. Burnley are in a better position next season regardless of which division they're in.I don’t think he is I think he regards loyalty above everything he’s a decent bloke so not sure why you think hed go.
Your mind seems to be made up then. But I wouldn't be surprised if there was something in it.
My mind isn't made up, I literally said people could be putting 2 + 2 together. I just don't see the benefit of having blind faith in anything, especially not people.Your mind seems to be made up then.
Personally I respect our manager enough to have faith.

If Wilder wants a quick route back to the Premier League then of course he'd go to Burnley. He'd have a chance to keep them up and the money to rebuild the squad if he failed. Alternatively, if he has bought into the long term project here at Middlesbrough then there's no reason he'd leave - especially not this early into the job.
I hope that he stays, I can just see why he might not.
This has really annoyed me as the last we need is any outside distractions as we go into the run in.
We are live on tv next so we need Chris to come on tv and rule this out now today and kill this festering rumour before it does any damage.
Of course he’ll get asked bout it it’s sky they live on this stuff. They only really about the prem.Unless he's asked about it, I'd sooner he didn't respond to speculation about bookies odds.

Nip it in the bud today
We’ll seeWhy would they ask about bookie odds?
It's the same names being early favourites every time.
Twisting the facts a bit there I think. He walked out of Oxford to join rivals Northampton. Then walked out of Northampton to join Sheffield United. You can be a decent bloke and also be ambitious. Burnley are in a better position next season regardless of which division they're in.
I'm hoping that it's just people knowing that Burnley were rumoured to want him earlier in the season and putting 2 + 2 together. But I wouldn't be surprised if there was something in it.
I heard that Dyche fell out with Chris Wood before he left and Wood was popular in the dressing room. There's possibly a perception he had lost the dressing room.Yeah, it's very strange.
They've got Ben Mee as part of the coaching staff for the match, so there's clearly not an immediate replacement ready.
If Wilder calls Gibson after the game today and says he wants to go to Burnley do you think Gibson is going to say "OK Chris off you go to Burnley, good luck"?
He might. There would be compensation, so more revenue, and choice of managers in the summer. Clear the decks of a raft of useless deadwood and the chance to build something for a good young manager.
I didn't advocate getting rid of Wilder but nobody is irreplaceable, and Steve Gibson might consider for a while, even if he does turn it down. Is there any evidence that Burnley are interested or is just speculation?Wilder is the first good manager we've had since Karanka, with our poor record of appointments why would you risk getting rid of Wilder. The idea is mental.
