I haven’t failed to clarify. More like a lack of understanding seems to be issue here. Anyway getting tedious this conversation now just going round in circles

That being said, I didn't realise so few diesels were built currently by Honda
Apparently they only brought out a diesel engine in 2003 and it never really took off. Their petrol engines were always pretty advanced, I guess - well ahead of the curve with VVT, so maybe they were playing catch-up on diesel?

I just assumed ugly suvs like the cr-v and it's ilk would be diesel. To be fair I don't pay much attention. The only Hondas that interest me are the civic and the NSX

Any of you ever been in a position where you have to respond to a question in the full and certain knowledge that whatever you say will be twisted to suit the journalists position?

It doesn't matter how carefully you respond, your words will be twisted. So rather than say nothing, which isn't a great look (and can itself be twisted) you make completely off the wall statements, and the worst that can happen is that someone thinks you've had a meltdown.

Cummings is a functionary, not a politician running for office, so has no need to provide an answer.

Unbelievable.
