Dog walkers

Now, I realise many on here will love their dogs and, as owners, will be considerate to others, so this is in no way a generalisation.

On a long walk today that happened to include a circuit of a reservoir - jeez, that bit
was like a motorway for dog walkers. I know they have every right to be there, and so they should be and I have no quibble with that. But -

a) why did they have to let the leads stretch the full width of the footpath, blocking it completely?
b) why do they have to be in groups of 3 or 4, again completely blocking the path ?
c) why do they let their dogs in the water and jump out to shake off every time I am passing?
d) why, when they meet other dog owners, do they have to stop in the middle of the path to chat, again blocking the whole path?
e) and most importantly, why is it such an effin struggle for them, in all the above, to move out of the way when politely asked to do so?!

Or was it just me?
It‘s the same for me when I’m out running. Some dog walkers have zero situational awareness. Their dog on a long lead with their head in their phone. I’ve got a dog and I’m always conscious of other people around,.

As a dog owner and walker myself I also hate it when other people are out with their dogs

Means I can`t witness the majesty of my dog bounding about in the wilds uninhibited.....bloody people getting in the way everywhere i go

I think its more that they're ignorant people -whether they own dogs or not -which I know was your point 👍

Kind of same theme it’s not the dog walkers who irritate me it’s the joggers who are spewing all sorts out their mouths as they run right close by me . Selfish gets don’t even meander round me . 🤮🤬 Feel like tripping them up
