Do we have an unrealistic sense of "entitlement"?

I didn’t comment on the original thread but it reminded me of my Dad when I was a kid, he had been brought up on Boro always being a First Division team and was never happy about watching them in the Second Division.

That’s entitlement for you.

I hope now others can see why I was so angry at those accepting a relegation threatened season.

We are now 6 th.

The thing I don’t get about this is the idea that fans shouldn’t “accept” stuff. What exactly can you do to influence it? You can spout off on a forum or you can sing an anti-manager song at the match, but it’s hardly “making a stand” is it? Acceptance is a far healthier frame of mind to be in if your football team isn’t doing very well, rather than anger etc.
