Disney+

Thinking of knocking some of our Sky package on the head and subscribing to Disney+ instead - already have Netflix and Amazon Prime and at around £80 a month for Sky its poor value by comparison.

Anyone already subscribed to Disney - what are the packages and is it worth it?

Depends, if you like star wars, marvel and/or disney then yes it's definitely worth it.

There's only one package. 7.99/month or £79 for the year IIRC

There's loads of documentaries, some decent movies too, Nomadland just appeared today and the Star network was added a couple of months ago which is a couple of hundred movies and classic TV series like X Files.

It's a bit slim on original content at the moment, but what there has been so far is excellent - Mandolorian and WandaVision.

I think it’s an absolute steal for the content you get, I paid £59.99 for the year as I was already a subscriber. The cost of the classic Disney films alone on DVD/Blu Ray would push you probably 10 x that. Definitely best value for money IMO out that the streaming services, followed by Prime.

Same here I took the £50 for year one year and got the extended deal at the reduced rate.

Yep, good value, all of Disney plus Pixar, all of Star Wars plus Mando etc, all of Marvel Universe, Nat Geo, and there are decent bits and pieces on the Star stuff.

I'm not overly convinced. I payed for it as they offered me a reduction in price. I payed for a year but hardly used other than the Mandolorian.

I imagine its great if you have kids as loads of family content. The fact they have added the STAR channel has made it better. In terms of adult content it's not great... Then again as a Disney channel its hardly suprising. I doubt I'll Renew.

It’s great value if you have kids and the Marvel and Star Wars content is excellent. There is plenty more coming too like the Boba Fett, Obi Wan Kenobi and the Loki series.

I've had it a few weeks . Watched 2 episodes of Mandalorian meh!
Seen all the films that would have interested me on sky . All the other films are old. Not impressed at all.

If you've not watched most of it, it's well worth it, but there's very little choice if you watched a lot of Disney in years gone by.

I could have completed the catalogue in a few days if Wanda Vision and the Mandalorian wasn't released weekly.

Won't be renewing again until there's a bunch of the new Star Wars and Marvel series up at once.

Disney, not for me, long term. I got what I needed in the two week free trial (Hamilton mainly)

I have Amazon Prime (excellent value) and Netflix (Good value)
Also have Amazon family music package which is dreadful value for money but works with my multiple Echo's, so hooked in
