100 laps and we won a gold. After that I am at a loss.
Yes. But the Gold was won over four events.100 laps and we won a gold. After that I am at a loss.
Even with that explanation I'm not sure I'm any the wiser! It's flipping complicated IMOIt's one of the hardest Golds to win. See if you understand this explanation - btw it has changed a lot recently and was held over 6 events in the two previous Games.
Track cycling: What is the Omnium?
Cyclingnews' guide to the four-race track cycling eventwww.cyclingnews.com
Say you were 6th how do you know? That's what makes it fascinating.
Same here, but really enjoyed watching it.I loved it. I had no idea what was going on. Then the reporter said he had lapped everyone.
I assume you mean during the race? You'll be getting signals from your helpers in the track centre.Say you were 6th how do you know?
Isn't there a trackside scoreboard that shows each sprint award and then the total points? You still have to be some mathematician to know what that means in the context of the overall competition though!I assume you mean during the race? You'll be getting signals from your helpers in the track centre.
And now Karate without a fight, ballet of martial arts.
kerchingggI thought the omnium was confusing, but I'm now utterly bamboozled by this martial arts thing on now! Lots of grimacing with a bit of shouting. It's 1 person karate??
You mean like the womens road race, where the Dutch girl thought she had won gold only to find out an Austrian had finished 5 mins before her.I am not just meaning cycling but I would get rid of all screens during the races.
When I see athletes looking at the screen to see where they are it seems a bit of a benefit. If you don't know where your competitor is neavs you cannot plan.
They should come on this site if they want a fight. And now Karate without a fight, ballet of martial arts.
