He knows that tbf Diego, the 9 points were for the breaches of rules on ffp and I agree with him it was pathetic and imho is in no way a deterrent when you look at the riches achievable if the gamble pays off.
The other 12 were self inflicted by choosing to go into administration. They knew doing so would cause the extra 12 points and was separate to their offences.
Yep it is a poor punishment.

Could you imagine a more irrelevant set of fans. All their figures of hate are flying high and couldn’t give the slightest fck about them.

I see they were singing songs aimed at Billy Sharp on Saturday, which were taken to be about the death of his child.

It may not have been intended to be that way, and it will only have been a small minority, but why sing anything at all that could be interpreted in that way?
Surely not ☹️.. I know all teams have their fair share of neanderthal supporters but some things are simply off limits and that is very much one of them.

Still remember that goal he scored against us and his 'celebration' afterwards. Not many goals we concede that make me emotional but that one does.

Derby fan at work started having a go at me on a Teams call at 8am this morning. Saying how I need to have a word with Gibson and how he's responsible for everything that's going on with them 🤷‍♂️

I've never met this lad, but spoken to him every week for nearly 2 years. Its bizarre this collective view they all have.

I do think the game next month could be a bit naughty with some of their fans, if the authorities aren't all over the situation.
No doubt some of their over 50’s skinheads will travel up and shout the odds like they did a couple of seasons ago until

No doubt their over 50’s hooligans will be up shouting the odds like they were a couple of seasons ago until they walked past the Pig Iron and got scattered by the locals. Derby have always been the same both home and away, all mouth but very little else.

12 point deduction for entering administration
9 point deduction for 2 or 3 seasons of breaches wasn't it?

However:
zero deduction or fine for providing falsified accounts that failed to meet standards
zero deduction or fine for late submittal of accounts

They've been handled very softly by the EFL if you ask me.

Hang on is this a new one? Never heard of this before. Any basis or just derby waffle?

we didn't break ffp in 2016, they made that up. We have never failed ffp.

I've read the first two pages of that post, and there are several assumptions in it, most notably if we started legal proceedings against Derby after administration. Gibson has been talking about suing Derby for well over a year, so the process most likely started some time back but needs to go through the EFL arbitration before proceeding further to court.

It is a shame the EFL aren't as punitive as Premiership Rugby and the RFU. Saracens were found guilty of exceeding the salary cap and deducted enough points to ensure they were relegated. Their brand and top performers were all hindered as part of the punishment.

This Derby saga sounds like straw-clutching of the very upmost. Their spirited fight in games is honorable however the performance of some supporters is despicable.
