Dental implants.

I had mine done in Budapest with all the prep work done in London. I know people will say this when it comes to this kind of thing, but I was astounded at the quality of the clinical setting whilst there. Much nicer that my local dentist. I think it cost me about half of the UK cost but also got a great trip too.
Have you had any follow up checks since then over here?

I have had two done after a fall from my bike. Not next to each other. First I would research a private dentist and obtain costs and they usually supply some photos/testimonials. You can have an implant also if you have had a tooth missing for a few years but usually its more expensive this way. I had my tooth removed then they drill a hole in the jaw or scull and screw in a titanium peg. Left for approx 3 month the bone grows around the peg to make it secure. In between time they will make the new 'tooth' so when you go back they can screw it onto the peg. I didn't need any bone grafts just some xrays to check existing bones and if the peg had secured itself. £3k-£3.5k each. I have had them for approx 5 years and no problems whatsoever. I have to have an annual check and xray to make sure they are ok.
