And another bout of gerrymandering on the way 9-10 seat gain, although big Gav’s seat would be absorbed by the new boundaries. Also the new ID laws seemingly leave a lot to be desired. Only heard reports on the intentions, possibly making it difficult for young people to vote. Legalised voter suppression.

What’s F***ing depressing is:

-this will reduce support for Ukraine which will embolden the Russians . Trump has his head so far up putins **** it’s unreal
- the Russians emboldened will encourage the ccp to make a play for Taiwan too . If the U.S. allows that it will **** their semiconductor numbers and technological advancement

I dislike woke politics too , but the man is literally a F***ing disaster waiting to happen .

I honestly don’t know how isolationism is going to strengthen them . The us ought to be leading the democratic western world and backing Ukraine to the hilt , not walking themselves into an autocracy and increasing the risk of ww3. Those republicans will then regret their decision because we all would ducking lose with ww3

All democracies must be working together. Left , right and centre.
 
I don't live in the States so don't feel my judgment is fair on the state of their politics in that country, but I feel they're in a very similar state to ours, only worse. The 2nd amendment is what tips it over the edge for me as they all will end up turning on each other in scenes worse than we saw on January 6th if Trump is ever involved in politics again ..

I thought Trump's re-election campaign was just a grift-a-thon for him to fleece his crazy, rabid supporters to pay his legal bills and he will let them down last minute, but I actually think the guy will run again and win. Then the world is truly fked.

No doubt he will be back governing on Twitter exactly like the first time around and those ugly scenes we saw on January 6th, will be there again for the world to see. His ex-lawyer Michael Cohen says he will not run and his current campaign is definitely all about the grift, but I don't agree with him on that.

I mean, someone attacked Nancy Pelosi;'s husband with a hammer the other week, ffs. There is absolutely no way anyone could convince me that Trump is blameless in things like that occurring more and more in the USA. We have had it in this country with the likes of Jo Cox and the Conservative MP who was knived to death. This is what we have come to.

It is going to get uglier, and uglier. It is a shame Joe Biden has been so lame in his first term in Office and has done little to convince the population that they can not give that madman a route back into the WH. Very disappointing.

That's the most important point on the thread, and it's always the same. The Dems get their chances and they waste them.

If the only electoral options a country has is between a right wing party, and a party that is always willing to move right to gain power, nobody should be shocked at that country's politics getting worse and worse over time.

The Republicans don’t deserve to win, but the Dems deserve to lose.

Poll after poll, after poll is telling them that voters number one concern is the economy, and they continue to focus all the campaign energy on abortion and January 6th.

When they lose they’ll blame the voters for not caring about the “right” issues.

It never stopped. They use paper votes in Arizona. That’s the problem there are some tabulators that are hiccuping. The vote still is still registered. It’s immediately put in a secure box and counted later. It’s only one county, Maricopa county, it’s only a small number of machines.

Yes, Trump could do it again and it’s a big wake up call for the Dems.
 
Playing devil's advocate but any chance the American public are voting for what they want? Democracy works both ways.

Let them vote for whoever, it's not our country.
