Britt assombalonga and Ashley FletcherI’m struggling to think of 2 players who better typify the exact opposite of our current recruitment model
good grief no? he's quality and on a free.. still only 29yoGood grief no - we’re surely past the days of signing aging has beens. It just does not fit in with our new policy of bringing in up and coming players, with hopefully a resale value greater than what we paid
Tom Davies on a free would fit the bill . Age 24 .good grief no? he's quality and on a free.. still only 29yo
Everton have offered him a new contract.Tom Davies on a free would fit the bill . Age 24 .
He played 527 minutes last season , less than 6 games as a sub mainly , maybe he has ambitions to play every week ?Everton have offered him a new contract.
Well dapper that lad ! Get him in !

Better?
155 premier league appearancesplayed 527 minutes last season.. captain?
That team would get humped 5-3 every single week.THEY CAN PLAY TOGETHER – MICHAL CARRICK SHOULD BUILD HIS TEAM AROUND THEM
a line that has done the rounds for the past decade regarding the future England pairing.. a dream of a football alchemist, not since Lampard and Gerrard did we have such a delightful prospective paring.. slightly behind the Foden and Grealish quandary or are we past that now. This Championship season is Premier League in all but name.. those driving for a breakaway super league are nowhere to be seen.. but a league for the purists.. something your average American hipster bar fly might scribble on his napkin beside his hardcore order of British pub chicken wings with hot sauce. This opportunity is a hop skip and a jump away, Ross Barkley out of contract after a great season in ligue un.. Dele Ali.. the original Ravel Morrison, the sequel.. much better. A sleeping giant. £100m worth of talent just idling waiting for a spark.. the engine is still there.. some test of management to get him back on his feet and enjoying his football. Will it be that hard to do?
Friendly faces, understanding peers all in the bubble of 'you can smash this league' a cheeky loan wont break the bank. Pretty quiet in Hurworth to get back onto your game, why not go for it?
I do feel like when we're 1-0 against Coventry.. we might just want to turn it up a notch to get us over the line

Yes I do agree that Ross Barkley would be the ideal replacement for Alex Mowett.. there still a bit of bunce in the squad for a bit of something special maybe. The Muniz Spot. Pretty sure Carrick will have hooked up with them both during international duty at some point.
It's so daft.. it might just be worth giving it a go. UTB!
155 premier league appearances
211 games in total
AND ONLY 24 YEAR OLD !
Good enough to be a captain in the championship easily .
Ability would make the others look up to him .
Obviously MC would decide who was suitable , I don’t know what TD is like , but Carrick willHe could have the personality of a wet lettuce that winds everyone up and ***** in the showers, but if he's racked up 500 appearances you would want him as your club captain? ...
