Just replaced all my decking during lockdown, ive added raised planters, storage benches and recessed lighting. It’s a pretty large deck - about 5x8 meters. I gave it two coats of deck oil and the water just sits on top, like a newly polished car.
The previous decking had started to rot in places where plant pots had sat and water underneath them had not run off. Decided I’d replace the lot with a better quality decking I got from Parr’s in Stockton.
I’ve always given it a jet wash down in the spring and a coat of deck oil and it comes up like new.
