Decent dress watches

Marloe Coniston Auto. A lovely tribute to the world speed record.

I'm quite into collecting older vintage ones.

Managed to get one of these off a private seller recently for a really decent price.

Was going to mention Orient.
They are a subdivision of Seiko I think.
Orient Makos look great and aren't expensive

I have used Watchfinder a couple of times and I would recommend them above Chrono 24
Just to be a watch snob a lot of the examples that have been given are not "dress" watches in the true meaning of the word very nice though they are, but I suspect you mean a nice looking watch (y)
Watchfinder is great, although that platform also now sells from third parties and Chrono24 has a much, much wider choice.

In any case its buyer beware of course, but with a little bit of due diligence there's little to no risk.

The orients look really nice and affordable.

Also very good reviews on youtube. Torn between a teal Kamasu II or a teal Mako III
The Kamasu looks like a cross between a Tudor Black Bay and a Rolex Submariner.

If you like the design but not the price tag then the Chinese watches I mentioned on the first page have the below options. They'll be available for £50 on aliexpress, or double that on Amazon, (PD-1671 v2 and PD-1661 model numbers) and they will be on par with the Orients in terms of materials/accuracy (obviously not as fancy as an actual Rolex/Tudor):

They are really excellent value for money. Stainless steel, same as the Orients and Seiko NH35 Movements. All their designs available here https://www.paganidesignwatch.com/all-mens-watches/ but I wouldn't buy from them directly. They are available cheaper on aliexpress but you might have to wait for the monthly sale to get the best prices.

I've had a few Orient watches and the term 'bang for buck' springs to mind.

Creation Watches is my usual go to website, find a model/UK price then look it up on Creation Watches and there's usually a significant saving.

I think the so called "DressKK" watch range from Seiko are hard to beat for pricing and the ability to morph with the strap - check out these

SRPE61

Example

Orient are Japanese but not affiliated with Seiko AFAIK
They have some great watches tho
From wiki

"In 2001 Seiko Epson (one of three core companies of the Seiko Group) became the majority shareholder (52%) of the company. Orient Watch became a wholly owned subsidiary of Epson in 2009.[14] After transferring its business to Epson, the company now exists as a dormant company. Epson Sales Japan Corporation markets the Orient watches, while Akita Epson Corporation manufactures them."

Oh wow - news to me!

I don't own a dress watch, but a while back when I was looking at field/military watches I did find a few videos on YouTube that detailed smaller Japanese watch makers and they had some really nice, affordable stuff.

Here's a more recent video that might give you some options, plus, I doubt many people will go beyond the big names so you'll have a bit of exclusivity on your wrist.
