Debenhams online now for bargains

Well worth a browse , I’ve just got some cracking stuff half price . At the moment 0710 a daft little wait in a virtual queue for 10 mins and then you’re away . Over 50 quid free delivery .

A word of caution. There is no guarantee that you will receive the things you've ordered / paid for. If / when it goes under properly, you won't get your money back either.

Does it feel a bit like picking over the carcass? Not being critical, as you cant blame anybody for getting a bargain, especially during current times, but just seems a bit sad to see another staple of the high street go down the swannee, along with the jobs that go with it.
Wonder what town centers will look like in 10 years time

Was thinking of going to their store today but the idea of demoralised staff sufferjng the greedy public is not edifying.
Fully agree 👍

I'm sure folk up and down the country well be qued up outside waiting to rifle through the stock. They will have little or no regard for the workers who are losing jobs weeks before Xmas.

I fully expect to see scenes of folk kicking off about someone pushing in or taking the last lipstick. That and probably moaning that things are not cheap enough as they are closing down (that would be nice for staff).

Oh well I maybe proved wrong. I doubt it😕

It's still more expensive than other places online. You've got to pity people who pay some of these retail prices. They are literally throwing money away. People end up buying things they don't want at a generally higher price than if they'd done their homework.

Has it not occurred to some you that some people on this board might not have enough money to throw an extra ten pound in and simply want to buy a gift for someone that they couldn’t ordinarily afford ! I simply was trying to assist people

If only people were as desperate to buy these things before they went bust.

It's like the Next Boxing Day sale - if you wanted something that badly you're prepared to queue at 2am on Boxing Day morning, surely you'd pay an extra tenner for it on Christmas eve ?

Maybe I am fortunate. I bought £230 worth of goods yesterday afternoon, knowingly paying the online price would more than likely be heavily reduced in 24 hours. I did it because I wanted the stuff, I felt the asking price was fair, I wanted to make sure I received the stock before the feeding frenzy and I paid extra for next day delivery to give more certainty as I suspect Hermes will be unable to cope with the initial demand now.

Debenhams has been my go to store for clothing for the last 35-40 yrs. I am gutted they are going and the future for many their workers looks bleak. My heart goes out to all those staff reliant on their income at this time.

It makes sense to be smart when your shopping as if you're not, you're probably very likely to be wasteful in lots of other areas as well. But £10 could be a nice saving for many people regardless.

Well done , some how some way people will always find a way to criticise. It was fairly obvious to me you were just trying to help people out.

I wasn't actually criticizing the OP, more questioning why people are not treating shopping at Debenhams as a "must do" when last week you couldn't have dragged them in there.

Had a look earlier after queuing online and didn’t see anything really discounted... most was still full price unless it’s been updated
