We need the type of striker that scores goals, not the one who withdraws his labour!Alex Pitchard until the end of the year would be hilarious

Not true. Backed him from first game. Talent was obviousI love how people are tearing their hair out about losing Rodgers, and how its a terrible move for Boro, when most of the same people were screaming to anyone who listen about how crap he was and how he should never wear a Boro shirt again a few months back.
different role, but Wharton has been a regular for 18 months and he's still only 19. Any teenager that plays week in week out at this level is very, very talentedIs that Blackburn player any better then him to cost 20 million ?
No time?Gutted. £16million with no time to spend it. Weaker as a result.
No time?
its 100% true, this board was awash with people moaning about how crap he was. Same as with Engel and VDB.Not true. Backed him from first game. Talent was obvious
Can't turn down a good deal for the club based on the line up for one game. With Viv on this, what does the team look like on Sunday?

Exactly this. The Rogers sale has been in prospect for a couple of weeks now at least. We may or may not bring someone in with the money because they have to be the right fit and available but contingency planning will have been going on in the background I'm sure.Is it just me that is puzzled by people saying we haven't got time to spend the money or we now need to go and find a replacement.
Do we really think the recruitment team sit on their hands until we sell someone. We will have a constantly evolving list of potential targets across all positions ready to go with likely initial interest already expressed, either via scouts or agents.
Just because the normal punter doesn't see the cogs turning in the background it doesn't mean they aren't.
We will have a likely replacement lined up. If he comes, great if not then save the money for the right man in the Summer. But whether it's the first or last day of the transfer window we always have time.

Sorry it was a tongue in cheek response to the earlier poster s***ing their pants. It’s only good if we spend it well. This is the first sign of progress in terms of picking up a young lad, developing him and then selling for huge profit. The trick is to keep doing it and that is the hardest bit. And now we’ve got £10m+ in the bank but a threadbare attack. It’s up in the air really for me, this. It’s nice to see money coming in but there’s loads of issues to address.

Some folks have selective memories, or they just love misery.
If that's the deal then it will be disappointing.
So we either have about £6m to spend if it's £8m up front, or about £7.5m if it's £!0m up front, once you remove City's cut. F*cking sh*te deal either way, honestly.
