DF seems a sensible signing - 26 is a good age - he has plenty of championship experience in a team that is usually top half. The fee if £300k is not going to break the bank. He can go straight into the team doesn't need 3 years to develop.

He is effectively a replacement for Ryan Shotton who was never replaced. I would expect DF's wages are well below RS's.

When we signed George Friend hardly anyone knew who he was.

I knew who George Friend was.. I thought it was criminal that campo teams could easily get sub £500k players that were better than what we had at the club, yet we'd spent eye watering amounts on pure dross. I used George Friend as an example.. mind you I did go on about it..
