Darnell Fisher

Can't claim to have seen much of Fisher at all, but looking at his record, he's been a regular starter for years, so he'll know the league inside out. Hope he doesn't go grabbing any more cocks and balls though :D

Hopefully he can slot straight in tomorrow. If Dijksteel is out for a little while (haven't got a clue how long this recovery will take) then I'd be really worried if we were starting Spence. I think he's been very poor this season. Not great defensively, and offers very little in attack too.

I thought the C&B was a smooth move, if he's have got a clip.. straight red card. Pure Dark Arts!

Welcome to the boro Darnell. Can’t wait for you to grab a game by it’s balls.

Decent signing and good competition for Dijksteel. Hope he can play tomorrow.

Get in - timing suggests he might be able to play tomorrow?
Been on the Preston forum and the majority seem to rate him highly.
Their biggest concern seems to be that he has a tendency to give away free kicks and collect yellow cards.
But message boards can be unforgiving places as we know - if this is all they can criticize him for he looks like a good 'un!
In fact it hints that he has a bit of aggression, nowt wrong with that.
Can get forward and put a cross in too it seems.
Regular first team full back for the 31/2 years he has been there.
It leaves them with a hole to fill - they reckon Browne will move to FB for them.

It's not clear whether the deal was done before the noon cut-off for Fisher to feature at Norwich, though Boro say the formalities of the move were completed on Friday morning.

I'm happy with the comments and reviews from the majority of PNE fans👍. He's been first choice for 3 years in this league. So no fecking around getting used to be league etc.

I've read he's got a silly free kick in him and a couple of niggly injuries this season. I think PNE are a solid champo side so he should be decent.

It's a bit of a stretch to throw him straight in.

I'd be willing to bet it was his agent trying to stir up a bit of interest, turned Warno down in search of cash in the middle east.

You never turn Warno down if he comes knocking (if he did) 'Wayne Rooney's Derby County' has as much pull as 'Jonathan Woodgate's Middlesbrough' - his stock has went further down since the start of the season 19/20 he managed he minute here and a minute there as Everton ran down the clock in a few draws. Scored two goals for the U23s but was in a the teams beaten by Fleetwood and Crewe.

I doubt very much he will be wanting to be kicking his heals missing another full season effectively.. maybe he's finished at this level. a free agent and nobody has snapped him up yet.. plenty of time to work something out by now.
How can you say he's finished at this level? He's 30 (31 in April this year) and I'd think there is a club waiting for him to join.

Where's most of this info coming from??? Searching through Twitter feeds past hour or so etc but finding nothing.

I'd be well shocked if we managed to bring him in as well as Bolasie and this Fisher lad 😂

If someone like Diedhiou came in, I'd hope it would get Britt and Chuba to start upping their game significantly.
The rumour I heard was that by selling Britt for 1mill and releasing his wages we would be able to buy Diedhiou for 700k and pay off some of Britt's contract to get him out. They're both out of contract in the summer so barely any value left on their contracts, bit hlikely to have lower wages when they move on

Spence is a brilliant player. He be playing in the premier league within a couple of years.

We need some cover and back up though.

I would take Daniel Johnson from Preston as well.
I'd send him out on loan if Dijksteel is going to be fit soon. Spence needs more game time, more experience. A spell in League One could really bring him on

DF seems a sensible signing - 26 is a good age - he has plenty of championship experience in a team that is usually top half. The fee if £300k is not going to break the bank. He can go straight into the team doesn't need 3 years to develop.

He is effectively a replacement for Ryan Shotton who was never replaced. I would expect DF's wages are well below RS's.

When we signed George Friend hardly anyone knew who he was.

2018/19 18 premier league games
2019/20 19 premier league minutes
2020/21 NOTHING

Imagine spending two seasons doing absolutely nothing and only having the weekend to sort it out!
